City Burning Ban in Effect.
August 18, 2015 - City of Lufkin City Council has extended the burning ban within the city for an additional
60 days or until lifted by the City Council.

Public Can Now Report Crimes Online
This program was designed to give citizens an option to file
police reports for certain minor
crimes online. This will allow you to submit
a report immediately and print a
confirmation of the police report. Find more details at the Departments

The City of Lufkin, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1836, and the Lufkin Convention and Visitors Bureau will host a “Pineywoods Veterans Celebration” on Nov. 7.
A parade will start at 10 a.m. at the Pitser Garrison Convention Center and end at Louis Bronaugh Park, where a live music performance will take place along with guest speakers and lunch. The lunch is free for all veterans with ID's and their families.
